Our most ambitious project yet. A pair of design-led villas being built in the quiet streets just north of Marshmallow Beach — one one-bedroom, one two-bedroom, both built from the ground up around the same idea: a 7-star concierge stay that still feels like a home.
Think Aman in scale-of-care, Soho House in atmosphere, Domi in heart. Same neighborhood as Casa, same walk to the surf, an entirely new level of detail.
The Founder

Born half Sri Lankan, Dominic's connection to the island was always present — but it was during his studies in Germany, completing a dual program with the City of Munich, that it truly came alive. Traveling to Sri Lanka in that time, he experienced something deeper than exploration: a sense of returning, of truly arriving home. After his studies, with a background in the public sector and online sales, he chose to return — not as a visitor, but with intention.
Starting from the ground up, he built his first ventures hands-on: a small restaurant, then a guesthouse, and eventually villa hospitality. Along the way, he saw both the beauty and the untapped potential of Sri Lanka's hospitality — rich in warmth and authenticity, but ready to be elevated through consistency, attention to detail, and operational excellence. Domi Villas was born from that vision.
The name carries its own story. “Domi,” from the Latin for “at home,” is a word Dominic encountered in school — and the connection between “Domi” and “Dominic” felt natural from the start. Each villa is designed around a simple idea: combine the genuine warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality with a refined sense of discipline and care, creating places where guests don't just stay, but belong.
Beyond hospitality, Dominic is committed to empowering local communities — creating jobs, developing skills, and opening real opportunities for growth. When he's not building, you'll find him in the ocean surfing, or in his garden picking fresh fruits and vegetables. Through Domi Villas, he invites guests to experience a life that balances ambition with calm, structure with warmth, and progress with presence.
Where We Are
Both villas sit between Ahangama and the lush Elukatiya hills — close enough to surf at sunrise and watch monkeys at sunset. The southern coast is Sri Lanka at its most relaxed: wide beaches, slow cafés, jungle backroads.
A walkable beach village with some of the south coast's best little kitchens. Perfect surf for all levels and the legendary Kabalana "Rock" within ten minutes on foot.
Ten minutes inland and the world goes quiet. Tea estates, jungle roads, yoga shalas, and a few small kitchens that feel like local secrets.
